For those who love traditional food, we also offer a 1-day gourmet getaway, where you can lunch at our outside restaurant and enjoy a fine selection of wines & tapas, the best local cheeses and jams, a picnic in the vineyard and, to end the day, dine at our restaurant, Sabores do Douro, where you can enjoy the finest local dishes, including the famous oven-baked transmontano suckling kid, roasted octopus with bashed potatoes on the side, veal steak, different varieties of cod, rabbit pie, sausages and convent sweets.

If you’re one of those people who like to know where ingredients come from, and would like to take part in the manufacturing process, we have a “1 day at the Quinta” getaway where you can walk across the vineyards, see the grapes being trodden, visit the wine-cellar, the wine press, accompanied by a guide to give you lots of information.
